An Affordable Residential Flat Society under Samajwadi Awas Yojna named as “Griha Awas” on the Land Measuring 9.8842 Acres

The Uttar Pradesh government recognizes that providing housing according to the economic capacity of all income groups in society is paramount for social welfare and the economic development of the state and nation. Although both central and state governments have periodically implemented policies and schemes to provide affordable housing to low and very low-income families in urban areas, there was no specific policy addressing the residential needs of lower-middle-income families.

The Uttar Pradesh government recognizes that providing housing according to the economic capacity of all income groups in society is paramount for social welfare and the economic development of the state and nation. Given the government’s limited resources, it was impossible to meet this demand. In light of this, a state urban housing and habitat policy was announced to address the residential problems, aiming to provide affordable housing to lower-middle-income families. Under this policy, the Uttar Pradesh government decided to involve private cooperation for the construction of affordable housing within the state.
